Schwab Tax Document Reporting FAQ

Schwab Tax Document Reporting FAQ

Some of you recently received an updated Fair Market Value (FMV) letter with valuations for certain hard-to-value assets. Please disregard that letter.

Schwab will begin initial mailing for Forms 5498 in early May. These forms come after many of you have filed your taxes and they report contributions, rollovers, and fair Market Value (FMV). You are not required to file these forms with your tax return, but should keep them with your records.
