What’s the Point of New Year’s Resolutions?

Over the past few weeks, a common question kept arising, “What are your New Year’s resolutions?” Due to the cultural acceptance that resolutions won’t last past February, I find some reluctance around setting them.

So, what is the purpose of the resolution? Unlike hopes, dreams, or aspirations, a resolution introduces a critical element: determination. In this New Year, I encourage you to apply that determination to financial resolutions.
